UK National Programmes

There is a variation, still the same theme, the UK National schemes (most EU countries run both EU wide and national schemes), which are now run through the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), their web site can be found by following the link below,

The make up and running of these projects is broadly similar to EU projects, with a similar call, proposal, bid and implementation structure, the difference is these projects are UK focused.

There is however an evolving "twist" in that some EU Programmes, namely;

  • Ambient Assisted Living
  • ARTEMIS
  • Clean Sky
  • European Institute of Innovation and Technology
  • ENIAC
  • EUREKA
  • Eurostars
  • Fuel Cells and Hydrogen
  • Innovative Medicines Initiative
  • MATERA+

Are applied for at EU level, but if you are in a UK company in a successful project bid, the funding and reporting is done through the TSB at UK level.

How we can help

Our mode of operation is identical to EU Projects, to be involved from Project Bid, as an active partner, usually as the Project Manager (a lesser role in these projects than the Technical Manager), also taking part in other work packages such as;

  • Project Management
  • User requirements, use case definition, user scenarios
  • System design and System Architecture, and
  • dissemination of information e.g. web site, preparation of information for publication and conferences
  • and, as a prerequisite, proposal preparation support
